A new retail building (Building #4) at Montgomery Place (Where Kasia Market is) has received final site plan approval from the Montgomery Township Planning Board. The one-story building will be about 6,851 square feet and is planned as a multi-tenant retail space. The building will be to the left of the current iGo Stem Academy.
However, we don’t know what’s going in yet as no tenant leases have been signed. The township has mentioned that they’d love to see an indoor sports option geared toward kids and family activities, and I have to agree. I think Montgomery could use more places where kids can get together.
We already see how popular that kind of gathering spot can be. A lot of local kids hang out at Kasia Market for bubble tea, sushi and their fried chicken. So maybe another business that gives families a place to gather would be a great addition.
I’d also love to see something along the lines of a café or casual workspace. With so many people working from home, having a comfortable place where you could grab a coffee, meet a friend, get some work done or just get out of the house would be a really nice addition to town. Or maybe an escape room, or arts & crafts place!
The new building is approved, but there isn’t a tenant list to share just yet.
