If you follow me on social media, then you know our dog, Douglass is such an important part of our family. We adopted Doug when he was 8 years old. We don’t know much about his history, only that he was surrendered to the shelter. He’s been such a big part of our lives. This September will mark 3 years since we’ve had him, and I wanted to do something special to celebrate this “gotcha day” and wanted to do an event where we could give back to a local shelter who give dogs like Doug, a second chance.
I met Jeff from Mondlock Moments Media, during a Central New Jersey Networking event, who I quickly learned was also a dog person. I asked him if he’d be interested in collaborating, and he excitedly agreed! From there, the “Strike a Paws” photoshoot event was born. We discussed all the wonderful shelters in town, and wished we could donate to all of them, but decided to go with Big Dog Rescue project, based in Somerset County.
This September 6, Jeff will be offering his talents, by photographing Dogs and/or Dogs and their Humans! The photoshoot is $25 per 5 min slot, with all proceeds benefitting Big Dog Rescue. We still have a few slots open, so if you’re interested, make sure to sign up here.
We also have some great sponsors for the event – The Modern Canine, Clear Skies Title Agency, SpeedPro Printing Piscataway, Baked with Love by Nicole, and Kasia Market.
